Good food, horrifying wait, very cute atmosphere!

The food was decent but I felt like the fish wasn't salty enough and also it was fried which I was not expecting. There were no options for chicken tacos or beef tacos and I don't know if that is because they change their menus or it is always like that but it was a bit disappointing.The spot is really great though, lots of space, nice music, great decoration and not too far from the beach. Also very close to the subway station.

Had a fish taco..needed more spice. Place was airy and friendly. Customers were having a good time.

I really like the vibe of tacoway Beach.Yesterday i’ve been there for the second time and for being a Monday, it was pretty busy!It took us about 15 min to order food and we teied cheese&beans tacos, chorizo & fish tacos + chips and guac.Everything was very good: 3.50$ tacos & 4$ chips& guac.Drinks were ok, i highly recommend not to order pina colada.There are more bathrooms putside in the garden if you see a long line inside.Overall exprerience was good and probably will go back next time i’ll be in Rockaway!!!!

This place is what’s making the far rockaway’s the destination it is. Great drinks and the best tacos anywhere. This place is a must.

Took a trip here on the NYC Ferry for what was promised to be the best Fish Tacos I would ever have. They weren't wrong. Really nice, just enough tartare sauce, and the watermelon drink is really refreshing. Would definitely recommend taking the trip out here for them, and the hunt for a better fish taco begins!

Fantastic vibes and super welcoming service. The meals were crisp and yummy. Will absolutely recommend this place to friends and family. Fair rates and generous portions. Good job.

Good tacos all around, but the fish tacos is a MUST. Has a certain crunch to them that I haven't found in other fish tacos yet.

The service was rude, but the tacos made up for it! The fish taco has the perfect crunch and is fulfilling. It’s quiet during the day and is a welcoming spot for kids and parents who need extra space for strollers, etc

Chill beach vibe spot with straight up tasty tacos. Plenty of seating, good music and cool staff. Highly recommend after a day in the ocean. The chorizo taco was our fave, but the black bean and cheese was a close runner up. Drinks are delicious, do yourself a favor and get the pineapple mint.

Delicious rustic indoor and outdoor spot with a Key West kind of vibe. It is chill, fun, and romantic all in one. Nestled in the neighborhood off the beach, with the picturesque subway train frequently going back and forth perched above. I would definitely recommend this place, it is kid friendly as well. I had the fish tacos which were lightly battered and melted in my mouth and the guac and chips. All for an affordable $12. The only drawback is this place is cash only in an mostly cashless modern world. However they do have an ATM machine if needed.

Had a great experience here with my daughter. The food came quick and the customer service is just awesome. Prices are affordable.

The black bean, cheese and sweet plantain taco was delicious. I also had the mango, jicama and cucumbers which I really enjoyed. I plan on coming back to try the corn next.

Cute little outdoor taco spot on Rockaway Beach.I ordered the chips and guacamole, black bean & cheese taco, fish taco, and watermelon juice.The prices were good, the fish taco was delicious, the black bean taco was good, and the fresh watermelon juice was amazing (and not too much sugar added).Love the beach vibe decor too!Definitely worth checking out if you are in Rockaway.

Best fish taco and dog friendly

Amazing food and loved the location. Perfect to grab a bite after the beach. The coconut water is a must try. Only disadvantage is that they accept only cash.

Great place!!! Wonderful food and excellent drinks!!! I highly recommend the fish tacos!!! They are simply divine! I do however reccomend that you get two as they are fairly small but for 3.50$ each it won't hurt your pocket. The vibe is very cool and it feels like you're in a California surf stop. There are many tables however there isn't much shade and they become boiling hot in the sun. One downside is the ridiculously long line to order and the long wait to receive your food and drinks. I was told that if you get there early around opening there isn't much of a line. I'll be coming back to see if that true. The reusable straws are a nice way to help me eco friendly.

Decided to take a ride out here on an overnight layover at JFK. I was NOT disappointed. The fish tacos were great and the chorizo was super yummy too. 4 tacos and one watermelon drink later and I'm totally stuffed and delighted!

An oasis in the middle nowhere. Good food. Decent service. Ordered one fish and one papa con chorizo per person - this is almost not enough. The fish taco needs salt. But very good overall. The chorizo has such a soft texture that it needs the crunch of the toppings. If I were doing it again, I would order two fish. Skip the mango, jicama and cucumber sticks and opt for the guacamole and chips (which isn’t the best, but it’s not bad and you need something to complete the meal.) $3.50 per taco. Cash only.

Best tacos in NY. I love the atmosphere here. Perfect place to have lunch before/after the beach. Long line on summer weekend.

If your hungry and looking for something to eat after the beach, head to Tacoway Beach; a 5 minute walk away from Beach 88 in Far Rockaway located right under the A Train.There's always a long line. I'd say expect to wait 10 minutes or so before ordering. In terms of seating, it's first come first serve. It's so packed during the summer so expect be to scavange seats.On to the food, tacos are pretty good for non west coast. There is a small variety from fish, tofu, chorizo, etc. The first tacos were pretty tasty.If you want a drink, there is a bar that serves alcohol. I opted to have a fresh coconut. Once you're done with the coconut juice, you can have them split the coconut and have coconut meat.Overall, the food is enjoyable, the ambience is nice. Good spot to check out after the beach.

Fun outdoor experience. Best fish tacos on the South Shore. Cool, laid back skate/surf style attitude. Excellent local art gallery too.

Good and simple choices. Savory and priced well. Cant go wrong. One downside, Waaaaaay to crowded.

The food was good!!!! But the wait on a weekend is kinda ridiculous. And sometime you are waiting line in the sun, it’s faster to get a sunburn than getting your food or drink. Lol

We heard they had the best fish tacos and so we had to go. We were not disappointed. Amazing place to end a nice day on the beach. Really liked the boho meets cool surf dude themed details. The vibe was great and the food was sooo good (and the margaritas), make sure to take a good mix of the menu. Get here early enough if you want to avoid the line and be lucky to get a seat.

I celebrated my PhD yesterday in this delicious restaurant. happy to tell that we had a delightful evening and the venue was undoubtedly one of the reasons for that happy meeting. The waiters contributed in a splendid way, the cuisine was extremely good and my buddies were very pleased. We shall no dout come back again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

Watermelon juice. Fish tacos. Incredible fish tacos. Plenty of seating. Cold beer. Awesome experience. Stop reading reviews and just go to there. There are vegetarian options as well; no excuses.

You will love this cute place! The fish tacos are delicious, the black bean with maduros and white cheese are out of this world. I had their Elote, this is a must have. You will love their food. Its a nice crowd, the staff were super friendly and the service was great. You will not be disappointed. I only wish I had taken a picture of my dish.

Taking an hour and half commute to Rockaway by us and or train is worth it! Here you will have lots of food and drink Hangouts after laying hours under the sun. If you're looking for a quick snack Tacoway is your go-to spot. Surf vibes, friendly crew, and delicious tacos! If you plan to go to the Rocksways, stop by at Tacoway.
